About the Artist: Stephen Pusey is a British-born artist whose multidisciplinary practice spans painting, public art, digital media, and network culture. After graduating from Saint Martins School of Art in 1975, he gained recognition for a series of monumental public murals commissioned throughout London between 1977 and 1982. In 1986, following an exhibition at PS1 (now MoMA PS1), Pusey established New York as his primary base, where he expanded his practice into emerging digital and networked forms.

A pioneering figure in new media art, Pusey co-founded the influential online arts platform Plexus in 1996 with curator Yu Yeon Kim and was a founding member of the Foundation for Digital Culture. His work and curatorial projects have been featured by institutions including Ars Electronica and the Guggenheim Museum’s CyberAtlas. Alongside these innovations, Pusey has maintained a distinctive painting practice exploring systems of biological, neurological, and cosmic resonance. His work has been exhibited internationally and is held in major public, corporate, and private collections, including Neuberger Berman.
