About the Artist: Bong Jung Kim is a Korean-born artist whose multidisciplinary practice explores themes of longing, memory, hope, love, and human resilience. A graduate of the Seoul National University College of Fine Arts, Kim immigrated to the United States in 1990 and has since built an international career spanning the United States, Korea, and Greece. Best known for his acclaimed Cyber Addiction series, exhibited at institutions including the Cyber-Addiction" Museum of Contemporary Art, Crete, Greece, Kim combines traditional painting techniques with reclaimed and unconventional materials such as broken computer components, vinyl, sand, tree branches, and magazine cutouts. His diverse body of work also includes the Crown, Robot, Space, and Poppy series. Through richly layered compositions, Kim transforms everyday fragments into powerful symbols of renewal, connection, and personal transformation. His works are held in public and private collections worldwide, including the Museum of Contemporary Art of Crete, and reflect his belief in art’s capacity to heal, inspire, and illuminate the shared human experience.
